 St. George Island
St. George Island, Florida is a 22-mile barrier island with some of the most pristine beaches on Florida's Gulf Coast. One of Florida's barrier islands St. George has miles of uncrowded beaches for sunning and shelling, coastal marshlands for wildlife viewing, and of course excellent fishing. Your wedding party and guests can rent a quaint beach cottage, multi-story luxury beach homes, or stay at one of the Island'a hotels or inns.
St. George Island is also pet friendly. Dogs are always welcome on the area's beaches and pets are allowed in many of the rental homes (but check with each rental management company for details). The newly reconstructed and restored St George Island Lighthouse stands proudly in the center of the island, making an excellent background for that special wedding photo opportunity.
